Tretji dan - Asissi

The town of Assisi has beautifully architecture, old houses from stone, spreading up the hill and leaving the place for narrow alley in between. It is the birthplace of St. Francis, who founded the Franciscan religious order. First we stopped at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels which is a church who is enclosing the 9th century little church. It was here that the young Francis of Assisi understood his vocation and renounced the world in order to live in poverty among the poor. The most magnificent is the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi, where is also the crypt of the saint. The rest of the day we have just walk around the city and observe the surrounding.











We discovered that the coffee in the bar next to our hotel is the best and the cheapest in town and we soon realized that is also fun to drink beer and cocktails there…
